Favorite part about job: I’ve prayed for years that if it is God’s will for me to ever work with people like Amy Franklin, I’d be all in!
About Colleen’s family: I married David in 2010. In our blended family, we have David’s son Justin, my sons Chase and Casey, and our daughter Emily.
Hometown: I grew up in Santa Rosa, CA. I went to Westmont College, and in 1992, earned my BA in English Composition with a minor in music performance.
Favorite part of being Catholic: I love that no matter how much I learn, there is always so much more to learn! I love that we are a part of the First Church. I love how complete our faith is, with focus on ourselves, our family, and service to others.
Hobbies: I do have a list of things I’ll do when the four bedrooms are empty, the house is clean, and my car smells good again! I love doing almost anything outdoors. I also love yoga, reading, traveling, and spending time alone.
Favorite food: I could live on meat, fish, and vegetables. I don’t like sweets.
Favorite song: Oh boy...I love music so much that it totally depends on the context. At this moment I’d have to say, “Beautiful,” by Mercy Me.
Fun Fact: I went bungee jumping out of a hot air balloon and skydiving when I was 21.
Dream for Solano: I’ve always dreamed of feeling a part of our parish...of belonging...of having quality relationships within our parish. I am so thankful that although ours is a big parish (and getting bigger each week!) with our current leadership, this is possible and actually happening! All are welcome here!
