Job Title: Elementary & Sacramental Preparation Coordinator

Working at Solano: 7 months in this position, but previously I coordinated last year’s VBS and helped in the YFF office the first half of last year.

Favorite part about job: Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they are having fun and learning about God

About Jennie’s Family: I’ve been married to my amazing husband Bill for 26 years and we have 4 children: Jillian (22), Will (18), Sydney (15), and Ellie (11). It’s going to be a busy year, as we have a college graduation and high school graduation in our family just before VBS!!

Hometown and Education: Hacienda Heights, Ca. Cal State Long Beach. I have a bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Human Resources

Favorite part about being Catholic: The Mass, that we get to receive Jesus every time we go to Mass. That we can trace our roots directly back to Christ and the Apostles.

Hobbies: I love to cook – especially desserts! And I love to play games with my family and go out to museums and fun places together.

Favorite food: Carbohydrates!! But seriously……strawberry crepes are probably my favorite thing ever

Favorite Song: This is hard - it changes from time to time. Right now, I would say “Multiplied” by NeedtoBreathe or “Remembrance” by Hillsong Worship

Fun fact: I sing all the time and make up silly songs about regular things (my poor family!)

Dream for Solano: That people will truly feel the spirit of love here and that it will continue to grow and we will become more and more like family and lift each other up. That nobody will ever feel alone. That every parishioner will become involved in some way, no matter how small so that they can be filled with God’s love and share that love with others. That we will continue to welcome people back to the church, and invite those who are searching. That we will be seen as a living example of Christ’s love in our community.
