ANOINTING OF THE SICK
The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines the purpose of the sacrament as “the conferral of a special grace on the Christian experiencing the difficulties inherent in the condition of grave illness or old age.” (Catechism, 1527)
Reception of this sacrament can be arranged by calling the church office at 949.589.7767.
At San Francisco Solano, we offer prayers both for those who have died and for the grieving family and friends. In addition, we provide a full range of vigil and funeral services, including Mass at the church, and graveside services prior to interment.
Our staff and the Bereavement Committee are available to assist you with planning the funeral liturgy, and our Grief Support Services can help you to understand and survive the difficult period of loss following death.
We also offer a Grief Support Group—for more information on this group, click here.
