Thursday, Oct. 2, 9:00 AM - A Note From Fr. Duy:

To my Solano family:

My heart is full. My sister was at Solano with you on Monday night for the Rosary Prayer Service and was able to share a little bit of that evening with me through pictures and videos. Seeing our community gathered together in prayer was a true blessing. Please know I was praying alongside you that night.

This healing journey continues to have its challenges and setbacks, but it is outshined by moments of progress and the grace of God. These past few days have tested me in many ways, yet through it all, God has been so faithful, carrying me with His strength and surrounding me with your love and prayers. Each step forward is a reminder of His healing hand at work. When I feel weak, I hold onto the truth that “my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” - Psalm 73:26

I will continue to pray for you and look forward to getting back to where I BELONG.

God bless you,
Fr. Duy

Mon, Sept 29, 8:15 PM - We are overjoyed and deeply grateful to share that Fr. Duy is making incredible progress—he is officially out of the ICU and now in recovery. Considering the doctors’ initial prognosis, this truly feels like nothing short of a miracle, and we know your prayers have carried him here.

This past weekend, countless Masses across many parishes were offered for Fr. Duy, including his brother priests, who celebrated Mass with him in the ICU so he could receive the Eucharist. The outpouring of love through your messages, prayers, and support has lifted both him and his family beyond words.

Out of love and care for his healing process, we kindly ask that all visits be postponed for now.

For those who would like to write a note to Fr. Duy, we will have a box in the back of the church to collect any messages our Solano family would like to share. We will make sure he receives them!!

Fr. Duy feels your prayers. He sends his love to each of you, and he remains full of faith and hope as his healing continues. Please continue to keep him in your prayers as we walk this journey together. He can't wait to see you all soon.

GOD IS GOOD!

Sat, Sept 27, 7:30 PM - After several hours in recovery in the ICU, Fr. Duy is conscious and alert. In these moments, doctors always prepare for the possibility of complications. But thanks to the incredible care of the medical team and the countless prayers being lifted, he is now resting comfortably. Even more encouraging, he is responsive.

This is another major step forward — one of the most important signs the doctors look for after such a surgery. While the road ahead will still involve healing and careful monitoring, the fact that he is awake brings so much hope.

The support, love, and especially the power of prayer from so many has been remarkable. Please continue to pray for Fr. Duy — your prayers are powerful, and they are carrying him forward each step of the way in his healing and recovery.

Sat, Sept 27, 10:50 AM – Fr. Duy is out of surgery, and the surgery was a success. He is now in recovery. Please continue to pray for his recovery, strength, and healing.

Sat, Sept 27, 9:00 AM - Last night, Fr. Duy experienced a medical emergency that required surgery. We expect him to be out of surgery this morning and start his recovery. He is receiving excellent care, and we remain hopeful for his full recovery.

We ask for your continued prayers for his healing and strength. In the meantime, all parish activities and Masses will continue as scheduled under the guidance of our clergy and staff. Updates on Fr. Duy’s condition will be shared on our parish website as they become available.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and love during this time.
