MEET MICHELE!
Where were you born? Pasadena, California
Tell us about your family! I have three amazing kids, Katherine, 26 years old, Michael, 23 and Kellianne, 19. They are the light of my life and I am so grateful for them. I am blessed to be part of a close family and still have my mom and dad here with us to enjoy life with. I am the third of four children and have two sisters and a little brother. I have nine nieces and nephews and our family keeps growing! I very thankful for all the wonderful people God has brought into my life here at Solano and I consider them all my family as well.
What is your favorite part about Solano? Feeling part of a church family and getting to know and worship with fellow parishioners. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate our faith and worship our Lord Jesus Christ together with other believers. I am grateful to be able to work and live out our faith at the same time. We can proclaim our Lord's goodness all day long!!!!
What does "Belong" mean to you? It means community, being part of something bigger than ourselves and caring out a mission together in Jesus's name. I believe God wants more for us than just a personal relationship with him. We are to celebrate, worship and work together to build a better world around us.
What is something people most likely don't know about you? I was a dancer for the LA Lakers for a while from 1987-89, the Back to Back championship years. I have always danced( up until a few years ago) and it has been a great love of mine. I also have my Master's Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. But, I don't usually tell people about those things, I am a little shy about them. 😌
What is your favorite song? Come to the Altar, Worship songs, Elton John!!!
What is your favorite food? a good hamburger and ice cream always!!!
Most embarrassing moment in your life? Too many to mention, but probably forgetting my speech during a Miss Drill Team USA Pageant.
Random/fun fact about yourself? I like math!!!
What is your vision for Solano? To see Solano keep growing and reaching the community so we can bring more to our faith through our example and our worship of our Lord Jesus Christ. To create a safe place for all to come and feel that they are valued, important and loved. To share the love of Christ to those around us by example by treating all with respect, compassion and kindness. To be there for those in need and those going through difficult seasons of their life by sharing the gospel and being the hands and feet of Jesus.
